because 140 just isn't enough…

Under Construction:
Pardon the Dust.

Improved handling of kerning pairs and ligatures in modern browsers using the text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;declaration.

The declaration is currently supported by:
Safari 5, The Webkit Nightlies and Chrome.

Firefox already uses optimizeLegibility by default for text sizes above 20px.

Lovely. You learn new things all the time. I love how this looks, and am experimenting it on my sites as of now.

Awesome App with an Awesome Website

I said a few days ago that it was coming, but even so I was not prepared for this. Transmission 4 is such an improvement on Transmit 3–a amazing app already–that updating is so worth the price. Transmit 4 has such a fantastic and useful file browser, which can also be used for local directories in both panes, and as such could be used as a very good finder replacement. Hell, I think that may be worth the price of the app alone. This is such a beautiful update, I bought it straight away. Hopefully I can give a longer review when I get some more familiarity with it.

On another note, Panic’s page for Transmit got a huge makeover for the new update. This looks beautiful and just goes to show you how well designed a website can be. It even works on the iPhone and iPad. Excellent!
