because 140 just isn't enough…

Under Construction:
Pardon the Dust.

Improved handling of kerning pairs and ligatures in modern browsers using the text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;declaration.

The declaration is currently supported by:
Safari 5, The Webkit Nightlies and Chrome.

Firefox already uses optimizeLegibility by default for text sizes above 20px.

Lovely. You learn new things all the time. I love how this looks, and am experimenting it on my sites as of now.

Second, publishing the name, photographs, and personal information of the Apple engineer who lost the phone is irrelevant to the story. It was the dick move to end all dick moves. Gizmodo is, ostensibly, a gadget site. The interest of their readers in this saga regards the phone. Publishing his name did not clarify in the least bit how they obtained the phone. The people whose identities I’d like to know are those who obtained and then sold the phone, not the guy from Apple who lost it. There is no interest served by outing him other than taking sociopathic glee in making a public spectacle of someone who made a very serious but honest mistake.

This, I’m deeply offended by.

No one puts it as eloquently and clearly as Gruber. This clearly describes my thoughts on the matter exactly.

Because we al love graphs like this....

You know, I thought only Microsoft were the only ones to put out shitty tables like this (their Windows 7 Upgrade Matrix for one), but apparently I was wrong. Very wrong. Adobe had to prove me wrong.

PS. May I be back to blogging? Who knows.

December 17th, 2009

This is enough. I think I have had all I can take of Lorem Ipsum. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the weird quirky latin that we all use to pad out content but at the moment, it is just getting in my way. For the last month I have been stuck working around chunks of Lorem Ipsum and some example images, and been stopped from doing what I should have really been doing; blogging.

Sure I should still be working on the design, and building it, but I forgot along the way really the point of the blog, that being the content. So instead of the mangled Latin or some random dummy text, let me start finally blogging again, and give myself some real content to design around.

Here goes nothing…
